Albaida

The Albaida Palace

It is a symbol of the feudal history of the city, built in the 15th century on 13th-century walls, and consists of three towers. This public building houses a remarkable Gothic hall and murals with pagan themes from the 17th and 19th centuries. Its architectural evolution reflects the passage of various noble families, including the Milà i Aragó family, who notably beautified it.

Iglesia Arciprestal de la Asunción de la Mare de Déu

The temple, dedicated to Albaida's patroness, the Mare de Déu del Remei, stands majestically in the Clos de la Vila. Of eclectic and sober style, it was built on the foundations of an ancient Romanesque church from the 13th century. The Church of the Assumption, constructed between 1592 and 1621, houses works by the neorealist sculptor Galarza, from Pere Foix of the 17th century, and oil paintings by the master Segrelles.

Belfry

The bell tower of the church, an unmistakable symbol of Albaida, began construction in 1615 and was completed five years later. Standing at a height of 40 meters, made of rough stone and with a robust appearance, it resembles a fortified watchtower. This bell tower is the site of the only Manual Bell Ringing that has been preserved uninterruptedly since the 13th century in the Valencian Community. Declared a Cultural Heritage of Intangible Interest (BIC) in 2013, more than 3,200 bell tolls, swings, and peals are made each year from this iconic location.

The bell tower houses 10 bells, with the largest being "Remediet," also known as "La Grossa," weighing 1,375 kilograms. Throughout the year, guided tours are available to learn about the history of the bell tower and the art of manual bell ringing, a living tradition in Albaida.

Motoclub Ciutat d’Albaida

The complex has hosted numerous national and international competitions, attracting riders and enthusiasts from all over the world. Additionally, it offers complementary services such as paddock areas, parking, and spectator zones, making it a complete and dynamic space for motorsport.
